1. What do I need to get a Notarization?

As a notary public, I am required to positively identify all my customers.  Pennsylvania's Notary Public Law requires acceptable Id's with the following element:

• Serial or identification number and t least one of the following-
• photograph
• physical description and/or
• signature

2.What kind of ID can I bring?

Examples of preferable Id's include but are not limited to the following:

• PA Driver License or PA Non-Driver photo ID
• Military ID card
• Another States License
• Current Passport
• Matricula Consular
• INS Alien Registration Card

3. I need a document Notarized, I'm going to sign and another person has already signed the document, I have a copy of their ID, Can you still notarize the document?

The answer is NO.  All notarial acts require the personal appearance and proper identification of all parties.  This is required by law!

4. I need a document that will be used in another country to be notarized, can you do that?

We are able to notarize these documents but sometimes when notarized documents that are going to be used in a foreign country, these foreign jurisdiction requires an Apostille besides the notary link.  If this is the case, the document can only receive an Apostille from the Pennsylvania Department of State in Harrisburg.  We are able to do this for you for a fee or you can follow this link for more information on how to do this yourself.
